The exchange experience I will never forget...
My friend's post made me think about what the whole exchange experience must be like for host students... unless you join the International Society at Uni of Manchester you'll have a very limited interaction with exchangers. Give his blog a read, some things you might not understand because you had to be there, but it's a beautiful account of life from that side of the globe.
"2 years in NUS are officially over today and I am here in the empty R3 lounge, thinking about the times I’ve had here. Today the place looks exactly the same as it did two years ago. Though so many things have happened. Except for me, all its residents have changed. People have come. People have gone. Different people from everywhere.
"The experience that stands out is my pseudo-exchange here in NUS. I am very proud of it simply because it is a path not commonly taken....
"Hanging around with everyone in the lounge gave me a different view on things...
"I was slowly coming out of this shell of limited thinking and gaining loads of knowledge and self-confidence."
